About Daniel Lunghi

Daniel Lunghi first fell in love with photography at nine years old, watching his older brother with a camera in his native Perth, Western Australia. By fourteen, while living in Indiana, a friend’s father gave Daniel a camera of his own—and he never put it down. 

He began with landscapes, learning to follow light, recognize composition and find the feeling within a place. More than forty years later, those instincts remain at the heart of his work.

For more than two decades, Daniel has called the San Francisco Bay Area home. His photography has taken him inside some of the region’s most remarkable residences and earned the trust of leading luxury real estate professionals. His work has appeared in Architectural Digest, Dwell, Mansion Global and The Wall Street Journal.
 

Daniel’s approach begins with light. He believes a great property photograph should do more than document architecture—it should create enough emotion that you can imagine living there. He works quickly, demands precision and brings warmth and humor to the process, building relationships that often span years.
 

Today, Daniel remains the creative force behind Lunghi Studio, guiding a trusted team across architectural photography, film and property media throughout the Bay Area. The studio continues to evolve toward architecture, design and editorial work, while Daniel’s original instinct remains unchanged: follow the light, honor the space, and make people feel something real.
